BORGONOVO

Village aligned along the road with splendid houses from the seventeenth and eighteenth century, such as those of Baldini, Santi and Perico-Baldini. The San Giorgio church is mentioned for the first time in a document dated 1327 and the re-structuring work of 1694 gave its actual aspect. The glass lunette of the chancel is the work of Augusto Giacometti. In the adjacent cemetery are the tombs of Giovanni, Augusto and Alberto Giacometti.
