MONTI DI VILLA

Situated on the mountainside south of the Bregaglia, in direction of the town of Villa di Chiavenna, they are a number of grassy terraces characterized by thick woodland, pastures with numerous flocks of animals and an uncontaminated nature. In certain cases, small groups of alpine huts arise amidst the fields and which are mostly inhabited throughout the summer months. The extremities are occupied by small lakes and the splendid village of Uschione, encircled by broadleaf and chestnut woods. A wonderful stepped mule track joins on to Chiavenna.
