PIURO

Museo degli scavi di Piuro (The Excavations Museum of Piuro)
Set up in the vestry of the Sant'Abbondio church of Piuro, it exhibits the remains of ancient Piuro which where buried in the landslide of Conto mountain in the year 1618. Among the objects displayed are some liturgical articles, various coat of arms and pieces made of ollare stone. The main prints that where done in various European states from the year 1618 onwards regarding Piuro before and after the landslide are exhibited on the walls. <<

Acquafraggia waterfalls
Situated at the beginning of Val Bregaglia, the waterfalls are a suggestive sight with their double drop. Natural monument since 1984, they offer relax and moments of fun thanks to the splendid park which offers paths for walking or cycling and numerous excursions. <<
