VILLA DI CHIAVENNA
This is the last town of the Italian Bregaglia and is one of the oldest non-orographical alpine borders. It is important for its characteristic "crotti", used to place wine and salami's for maturing and found at the foot of the mountain and which are grouped together in the Motta area of the village. Her it's possible to taste local specialities.
In the past, there were five co-operative grape presses equipped with pressing beams; the press of Ponteggia has been restored and it's possible to visit it. |
